Heartbeat are excited to announce the
appointment of Nancy Kelsall as their new Musical Director.
Nancy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to
the chorus as a singer, educator and singing judge,
and the chorus are very much looking forward to her
directorship. Nancy, who has sung lead with the
UK's top ranking quartet Eu4ia for 10 years, was elected
as the successful candidate following recommendation
and positive feedback from the chorus and interview
panel. We look forward to a bright and harmonious
future ahead.

Heartbeat have been entertaining
the crowds in some picturesque locations recently. We
sang on the Band Stand in Buxton's Pavillion Gardens
(pictured) and were invited back, by popular demand,
to entertain the crowds in the beautiful surroundings
of Lyme Park, as famously featured in the BBC's "Pride
& Prejudice" series. The Lyme Park singout was the debut
for new Musical Director Nancy Kelsall. Unfortunately
things didn't get off to a fantastic start as Sat Nav
directed her to the wrong entrance of the park, in Pott
Shrigley some 4 miles away as the crow flies, and resulted
in her missing the first singing slot after almost 2
hours of travelling to complete a 35 minute journey!!
It's a tale she will learn to love over the next few
years for sure! Her eventual arrival was met with a
fantastic response from the chorus and audience alike,
especially when front row singer Jane forgot to give
her a vital cue and left everyone in fits of laughter |

Anyone who wasn’t able to
make the show at Stockport Plaza Theatre in February
but would like to share the experience, may be interested
in a DVD of the whole performance which will be available
very soon. They can be pre-ordered now for just
£10, just ask any member of Heartbeat or Cottontown,
or drop us an email through the contact section of the
website.
